2nd Review Meeting

Three years into the PLURAL project, the consortium gathered for the 2nd Review Meeting in Brno, Czech Republic on the 20th and 21st of November, marking a significant milestone in the collaborative effort .

The day started at the Hotel International, where the consortium was warmly welcomed by the hosts Petra Colantonio and Zuzana Taťáková from FENIX TNT. The atmosphere was charged with anticipation as the coordinator, Maria Founti, took the stage to extend her greetings to the project advisor Susana Xará, external expert Helena Granados Menéndez and Sara Van Rompey from the Advisory Board. The partners then introduced themselves, providing a comprehensive overview of their roles within the project.

With the formalities completed, Maria delved into a comprehensive project overview, highlighting achievements and showcasing the key accomplishments of each Work Package (WP). The technical presentations began with each WP leader presenting their results, sharing insights into their progress, and outlining the roadmap for future steps. Amidst the technical discussions, Sara Van Rompey delivered a captivating presentation that added a layer of depth and perspective to the proceedings.

As the day concluded, Susana and Helena shared their perspectives on the overall progress of the PLURAL project. Their insights and feedback were invaluable, guiding the consortium towards refining and enhancing their collaborative efforts. After a day filled with presentations and discussions, the consortium reconvened for a delightful dinner at a local traditional Czech restaurant.

RD Rýmařov and Kašava Demo

The second day of the meeting began with a morning gathering of partners and esteemed guests, followed by a bus journey to RD Rýmařov, a company with a rich history spanning over 50 years in the construction industry and to the production factory, where the assembly of the ConExWall took place.

Upon arrival, the partners were warmly welcomed by the owner and went on a factory tour that provided a glimpse into the manufacturing of sustainable wooden houses. The partners also visited the factory cafeteria for a lunch of schnitzel and potato salad. Over this hearty meal, they discussed the insights gained from the tour.

After lunch, the partners set off for the demo site in Kašava showcasing the practical application of the PLURAL project and had the opportunity to witness the installation process as well as explore the interior of the building, gaining a deeper understanding of the project's impact.

The day reached its peak when the mayor Petr Černoch extended a warm welcome to the partners at the town hall and in a heartfelt speech, expressed the town's commitment to the PLURAL project, outlining their significant role while the partners enjoyed the traditional homemade slivovice, local cheeses, and cured meats.

Following the mayor's speech, project coordinator Maria Founti expressed gratitude for the town's involvement and the project advisor Susana Xará thanked the mayor for the warm welcome, marking the occasion with a photo that captured the spirit of collaboration. The lively atmosphere continued with engaging debates and discussions, as the partners immersed themselves in the local culture.

As the day came to a close, a heartfelt goodbye was exchanged among the partners, marking the conclusion of two days filled with exploration, collaboration, and the celebration of innovation within the PLURAL project.
