Attica Green Expo

The Municipality of Vari - Voula - Vouliagmeni participated in the ATTICA GREEN EXPO exhibition on 24-27 May, 2023 in Athens, Greece. It is estimated that the exhibition had 21.000 visitors and 90 exhibitors, while 20 eco panels and 3 conferences were organised.

In the stand of the Municipality of Vari - Voula – Vouliagmeni educational seminars and presentations of new technologies and practices, related to the environment and sustainability were made by its executives and staff. The exhibition stand was also visited by dozens of students from schools from all over Attica region, where they were informed about the practices for saving energy implemented (i.e. PLURAL project) and waste management, as well as new innovations in technology in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) by the robotic team of the city, "THE INVENTORS".

The mayor of the city, Grigoris Konstantellos, analyzed the strategy of the three sustainability factors applied in the city, that is: Environment, People and Economy, stating that "When you manage to combine these three factors in a harmonious way, only then can we really talk about applied sustainability practices in Local Government."
