Today, on May 9th, we celebrate the anniversary of the Schuman Declaration presented in 1950, a pivotal moment in European history. This founding document of the European Union laid the groundwork for cooperation, solidarity, and lasting peace on our continent.

Europe Day continues to symbolise the EU's commitment to democracy, diversity and unity. It reminds us of the values we share and the importance of working together.
